I'm looking for feedback from those who have mounted speakers on their 250s. Where have you placed them and how well do they work when motoring or sailing. I'm especially interested in cockpit speakers, but it seems that legs, butts or backs would get in the way wherever you placed them.
Cheers,

These are great, and easy to change out when the time comes, BUT always a but...HA Yes the "butt" can get in the way if you use cushions. If not the lower back can block them. Just tell blocker to mooooooove over! These Bose kick a --!! Love them! Location is front V berth. and on port, aft berth mounted behind head wall
I put mine underneath the stearn rail seats and I think the location is perfect. Of course you need to buy the type that comes with a mounting bracket and not the flush mount kind.
What are you folks using for head units and (if any) amps? Anyone have a sub installed as well? I'm still trying to piece together a great sounding system that draws as few amps as possible.

There are transducers available from a good stereo store or magazine that turn what ever they are screwed to into a radiating surface, you could turn your entire sole into a sub.
I love good speakers as much as any music lover...but do not compromise the integrity of your boat by creating large holes where water can enter your cabin. So far I have installed two excellant speakers in the cabin. When and if I install cockpit speakers in the cockpit area they will be under the stern seats to avoid cutting large holes where water could enter the cabin from the cockpit. Consider what is important before cutting holes, Steve
