First, we had the boat off the trailer ok but with a slight angle from the bottom of the launching pad so the bow scratched the edge of the the rolling trailer weel. Great!!!
Second, our outboard fuel line was leaking but got to the dock OK.
Third, we had 50mph++ wind gusts last sunday night and our furling jib, well tackled and rolled, went up the shaft and went free for a while without damage because a marina friend used a bungee cord to fix the problem.
We think we went thru the worst so far, anything from now on should be OK, we hope.
Otherwise things are fine.

Wish us luck on our first sailing adventure with the boat ( have not find a name yet )

Cheers

Jean Dallaire

Your on the way... to fun and adventure... and a few scary moments perhaps. Houses are built one board at a time...and so sailors are made, one experience upon another.

First... the trailer roller mount can be protected from biting the hull... think I have a tech tip for it on my web page.

Second... you know what to do to fix it.

Third... when at anchor, slip or mooring... take the jib halyard forward and wrap it firmly several times around the jib and then lead the shackle off to the bow pulpit.... be sure the halyard is cleated. This will keep the wind from reaking havoc (shredding) the jib. While at it... take the main halyard off to one of the side stanchions. This way both are away from the mast and wont keep me awake if I anchor near.

I'm not fluent, but with a dictionary I believe that:

Trois Bandes......

Means making a pool shot using three sides (bumps...)

Just a stab at it...
