As a new C250WB owner, this thread has been very interesting and valuable. Thank you, experienced sailors, for sharing your knowledge. Re: adding weight under the v-berth, is this recommended? If so, how much?

Hi John, welcome to the forum and ownership of a C250. I think weight in the bow is more helpful on the wing keel version.

Enjoy the forum...you will find a wealth of information contained in its archives. Unfortunately, the forum archives only go back a couple of years. Early on in the mid '90s... there were no archives because of a feeling that the forum produced more activity when questions had to be asked anew.

After this period, the forum was a guest on a server that didn't allow carrying the archives of that message system forward to the current one. What I'm saying is, that many aspects of your hull number may not be covered in current archives though almost everything relative to all models of the c250 have been aired on this forum. Feel free to post any question or offer any comments that you may have.

The forum is dedicated to being helpful to new owners... and new owners should in kind support the C25//250 National Association by becoming a member. The $20 dues are one of the best values around.

People have added as much as 300 lbs. I have 200 lbs but I am considering adding another 50-100 lbs.

As Arlyn indicated, this change applies to the WK model.
