Hi all... just a post to share a few pics taken during the launch of Island Dreams 922.

She lives at Cabrillo Way Dry Boat Storage in San Pedro and they use jib cranes to launch vessels. Nice setup but marginal for sailboats.

Glad she managed to get launched... presumably this operation will be common and routine during the course of my ownership.

The crew said tilting sailboats toward the bow is their preferred method as it moves the mast away from the crane.

wow, tell me, are the 2 straps tied together, to some how keep the back strap from slipping out ?
but , nice photo, and good sailing.

Only friction... but geometry would seem to be in its favor - they told me mast forward was their preferred launch method.
