My speedometer works, but it reads 0 due to the magnets falling out of my paddles.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Has anyone been successful at gluing new magnets in there? Do I need really strong ones?

When I sent my knot meter to SR Instruments, I also needed a new paddle wheel. They overhauled the meter and replaced the paddle wheel with a new one. Then a year or two ago, while having my bottom pressure-washed, the paddle wheel was hit too hard with the spray and ripped the paddle wheel and part of the housing out. Luckily, it was only a part of the exterior support housing to the paddle wheel. I ordered a new paddle wheel assembly from SR Instruments but just have not gotten around to installing it.
Check SR Instruments website, they should have a price list for a paddle wheel replacement.

Catalina Direct has replacement wheels. I have one in a box that is going in when I haul in a few weeks.
