Good afternoon all,

I'm starting to think a bit about some upgrades during the coming offseason, and one I have in mind is to try to get most of my lines run aft to clutches. I have looked at a few setups on here (specifically Frog0911's), but didn't know what blocks I need to get for the base of the mast. Does anyone have some close-up pics of how you have things attached or advise on what worked or didn't work for you?

Thanks,

Ross B

Here are the blocks on our mast. There are two on the starboard side::

Here is the turning block that leads the two starboard lines from the blocks to the clutches:

Here are the starboard clutches:

We run the main halyard and reef tack to the starboard clutches. The port clutch gets the reef clew.

If you want to run the jib sheets to the cockpit then here is a link for that:

Thanks guys - that is what I was looking for. Randy - do you have the mast plate Dave listed above? I saw that one listed for the C-25, but wasn't sure if it would work for a 250 or not...

Whichever mast base plate you get, make sure it is really well sealed.

I used butyl tape to stop the drip from the baseplate into the cabin bulkhead. Worked a charm.

That is the mast plate that came with the boat. I doubt that the C25 version would work. Give Catalina in Florida a call (727-544-6681) and ask for Ken in Parts. They can likely supply you with all the parts you need.

Here are the two that came with the boat.

Here is final set up. The aft one is the original the forward two are new.

Hope that helped.

I'd guess it's his VHF coax, that's pretty much the same place mine is.

Thanks! I wondered if the newer ones had a different mast base plate and mine is a little different. Hopefully the newer one can be retrofitted onto my 95.
