Hello, Just wanted to say Hi. I have been using this website as a resource for my boat for a few years and thought it was time to pony up and join the association. I am amazed at how much quality information is aggregated here and I would like to send a “Thank you” to all of you who have unknowingly helped me over the years. I figured it was time to give back a little. I have a bunch of questions that I will be posting in new topics (as I get to it) as well as posting some items I have for sale. In addition I have made several mods to my boat that you guys may be interested in. If you have any interest in the following projects I have completed on my boat I would be happy to post them first. Edson Wheel Steering Yamaha 9.9 high thrust outboard with Edson Binnacle controls Folding swim platform Internal halyard conversion with space for 4 lines Deck organizers and cabin top winches Raymarine ST60 tridata and wind speed sensor Mast rewiring with new thru-deck connector. Electric keel winch Washdown pump with sprayer in shallow starboard aft locker
There are many other things we have done, but they are fairly mundane and I have seen many other posts that cover the topics already.
I would be happy to add tech tips, but I am confused about how to submit. The fist page lists several requirements and instructions for the content, but there is no link to use or email address to use for submitting them. Are they still open to submissions?
Lastly I would kike to mention that I do all my own fabrication work and would be happy to build anything for anyone who needs it. One unusual capability that I have that may be of use to some of you is a laser cutter/engraver that I own. I am planning to use it to make a new custom electrical panel at some point, but there are many more uses for it and I would be happy to make custom wood or plastic parts for people.
The admiral and I have an ‘84 swing keel standard rig that we bought in 2006. She is named Les’s Moor (after Admiral Lesley) and we sail her on Sacandaga Lake in NY. This is a reservoir used to control the flow of water down the Hudson and as such the level can change as much as 25 feet vertically over the course of a year. Hence the beauty of the swing keel design when the rock walls from the old farms start popping up near the surface of the water.
Good to meet you all officially, Thanks Again

Thanks guys. Next time I am at the boat I will snap some pics of the steering and controls and post them here. Does any one know how to submit a tech tip?
