It pains me to post this, but the keel bolts on my 1980 Catalina 25 - Standard Rig have worn away their threads, and both Catalina and my boatyard agree that it is impractical to try to rebuild the keel area.

Apparently the kit to convert the swing keel to a wing keel is no longer available, ... so...

I am left to part out my boat.

If anyone needs parts, she is located in Sayreville, NJ:
- 2006 Mercury 9.9 4-stroke long shaft motor
- North sails main and 155% genoa
- CDI roller furler
- North Sails asymmetric spinnaker
- Standard Horizon Instruments: speed, depth, wind (with masthead)
- new bulkhead mounted compass
- Jensen AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo with new 6" west marine speakers
- Standard Horizon intrepid radio with RAM remote microphone
- Interior cushions - new in 1998
- Cockpit cushions - new in 2010
- New smoked plexiglass forward hatch
- Mast & rigging in excellent condition, with new wiring harness, lights, and VHF antenna
- whale bilge pump new in 1998
...
- all of the other miscellaneous good stuff that goes with a Catalina 25

I am sorry this has happened to your vessel. My family has enjoyed so many good times on ours I can't imagine undertaking that process.
At the risk of being vulture picking at the bones, I am interested in the following items:
-2006 Mercury 9.9 4-stroke long shaft motor
-North sails main and 155% genoa
-Cockpit cushions - new in 2010
- CDI roller furler
- North Sails asymmetric spinnaker
-Standard Horizon Instruments: speed, depth, wind (with masthead)

Is your boat standard or tall mast? I'm interested in the furler and jib if tall.

I'm also interested in your galley drawers, spinnaker (and whisker pole if you have it), and the quarterberth cushions (depending on shipping of that last one).

I'm in Seattle, so my priority is on the easier to ship ideas (drawers, spinnaker, pole).

thanks,
alex

Hi Steve,
I am sorry to hear about your boat and I hope you can recoup some of your money, to get a new one or maybe even move to a C250.

I would be interested in the forestay and shrouds. What turnbuckles do you have and how much would you want for them?

I may also be interested in your Mainsail.

Cheers

What's the kind/model number of the bulkhead compass? If you can tell me I can figure out the dimensions myself and I will get back to you. Thanks.

I'm sorry about your boat. I hope you are back on the water soon. What winches do you have?

Sorry to hear about your loss. If the cockpit cushions are closed cel foam, I may be interested. Photos of whatever you can salvage would really help a lot though. I may
also be interested in any roller furling sails you may have in the 110-115 range. Email addy si dustysailz at verizon dot net. Thank you.

What stern pulpit do you have? The dock monster got the port half of mine last week.

Still looking for prices on the requested items in post #2 above. Also, what is the condition of the rudder and tiller?

You should read the corresponding thread over on the C-25 forum. It looks like he is replacing the keel with a wing keel and the boat parts likely aren't for sale.

Bad news on the wing keel - shipping and installation costs over $6k. I found a 1983 C25 with the fin keel (it's a Mark II) for $1,500... I'm going to switch my mast, sails, cushions, motor, etc. over to the new boat. I will know the parts that are available as soon as I get done with the transaction. Likely all of the hardware (winches, woodwork, etc.) will be available.

Darn, I'm going to miss hull #1883!

I am interested in the under-galley sink cabinet. I am thinking about adding a couple of drawers to unused areas.

I'm still interested in what I posted about earlier:
galley drawers/cabinet, roller furling and jib, spinnaker, whisker/spinnaker pole, qb cushions.

I'm guessing that most of this stuff will move over to your new boat, so I'm primarily interested in the galley cabinets.

Steve, If you will be in need of a fin keel trailer, I've got one for sale for $2,500. It is listed in another thread here in the swap meet. Also, regarding delivery, I might be able to meet you part way.

Not 2 hours agos the tiller snapped off the rudder of my 1980 Catalina 25. So I am in the market for a new rudder. Let me know if this is among the parts that are available. Thanks
