I'm in Texas, how far would you be willing to go to meet me? I have a Jeep, and while I obviously can't pull the boat, I should be able to move the empty trailer.
I am in Columbus OH and I have a trailer for sale as well. It is also for the C-25 FK. It currently has a boat on it that I'm scrapping/parting out. I have a place lined up for scrapping the hull or the purchasing party can have the hull and the remainder of the parts that are on it. It is a modified power boat trailer but in my opinion is has been modified very well. I have a fair amount of experience welding and in my eyes the welds look well penetrated and the bracing designed quite smartly. It is a twin axle where only one axle has electric brakes. The brakes look as though they have never been wired up. The trailer and axles/bearings look solid but the wiring could use some work. I'm excellent with wiring and for an extra fee I'd be happy to rewire the whole trailer to the buyers specs for lighting only. I recently wired a smaller trailer with all LED lights that included amber running lights up the side for ease of backing at night. The tires are in excellent shape and I have towed this trailer loaded with boat on the freeway with a full size dodge pick up without any trouble. I have how much trailers can cost for FK boats and it can be up to $5000 for one with all the bells and whistles. My price is $1000 which I think is quite fair.
dubbinchris: That is much closer for me! Can you e-mail pictures of the trailer? Intersted in the support structure of the boat, axle connections, ball size etc.
Those insterested in the trailer, I will try to get pics out to you tomorrow afternoon/evening (SAT). I work night shifts and am working several 12 hour shifts in a row. I work one more tonight (Fri) and after some sleep tomorrow I will take a few pictures and email them out.
Just in from the weekend regatta where a surprise PHRF boost on day one and some kick-ass sailing on day two lifted us into second place on the season agan. Woo Hoo.
Didn't forget about the pix guys...I took 4 or 5 on my phone and I'm having trouble getting them off the phone. I will continue to try while at work tonight and get them off to you.
Great to hear on your success at the regatta this weekend.
