Working on building an A-Frame set up that Davey J did his videos on. A few questions
1. Any idea the actual weight of the mast [tall rig]? I went looking through tech tips and parts manual etc. Can not find.
2.The video shows the mast being lowered towards the bow but it does not go all the way down correct? Can a cradle be made to rest the mast in for trailering.
3. Does it matter if the mast is lowered forward or aft when boat is being trailered?
Thanks

With the A Frame, it is easier to take off the boom and lower the mast aft. Don't mount the a-frame pulley on the bow pulpit! It will bend it. Yes, it won't go all the way down. Only take off the forward lower shrouds. Then you set the mast in a crutch, some have made the crutch set in the rudder gudegons, I just set my crutch in the very back of the cockpit and tie it to the stern pulpit.
Then you take off the shrouds and stays, you can then lift the mast up and set it on the bow and stern pulpits.
