In the quest to nail down some upgrade costs I would love to know where to buy a bimini and /or dodger and how much they go for. Any advice is welcome.
Thanks,
Jared

I just payed $195.00 for a made to order bimini with cover. Local fabricator and he came to the boat to install. I'm thinking of adding another over the Stern stanchion. I think I really lucked out. Found him on the local Craigs list Oroville Ca.
Adding curtains to your Bimini is as simple as adding a zipper and snaps. Have the canvas shop (or yourself) install two # 8 or # 10 zippers to the forward edge of the bimini, under the visor (flap). Also install one zipper on each side. (You might want to consider a zipper across the aft for a awning) The curtains can be fitted and fabricated later at your convenience. You will be given 2 choices of clear vinyl for the curtains, with 2 different prices. Pressed Polished has the best optics, but they will both have about the same life span, depending on exposure to the sun. One more tip! Optics will degrade as the angle increases. In other words the straighter (up & down) the forward vinyl curtain is, the better you can see through it. Something to consider when designing them.
Jared, is your C-25 a std rig or tall rig? We have the tall rig and found that a 36" tall bimini, mounted on the deck outside the coaming, just barely fits under the boom. I already had the bimini, from our C-22, so placement of the mounting hardware on the deck was limited. If I were buying one new, I would order tracks and mount it on the coaming so I could store it against the backstay. We have to lay ours down on the cabin top and, mounted on the deck, the frame makes it a little more difficult going forward. The other option is to order one wide enough to mount on the genoa track, but you will need to create your own mounting cars for the track.
