I wanted to say that I have never been a member of a forum with such great and friendly experts. Kudos to the Catalina Association neighborhood!

Now, the question: The rubber end to one of the pegs on the swim ladder that rests against the transom fell off. Also, the rubber ends to the rods that hold the hatch up are worn past being effective.

Any suggestions for a source for replacements?

Scott,
You are so right about this forum. I have had my 250 for a couple years now, and have found every an answer for every question i have had (about sailing a 250).

To answer your question...I purchased my replacements at West Marine. The rubber feet for the deck chairs they have are are perfect match. They come n a set of 4, so you should be set for a number of years if you are a pack rat like me.

Or you could pull the other ones off to use as a comparison and make a trip to your local ACE Hardware. That's where I got my replacements. That way you avoid paying the "Marine" price. Rubber is rubber

Like Tom, I replaced mine at a local hardware store.

Thanks. I now have two online sources but I will check the local hardware store. FWIW, I had put two crutch ends on each rod end of the Danforth anchor I used on my previous boat. This wasn't my idea but it made the anchor a little more friendly to the deck finish.

Smear or spray some SPF-50 sunblock on them.

I think I paid $1.97 for a set of four at Walmart.
