Sam, It's a centerboard. Lots of helpful info if you do a Forum search.

Sam, make sure that the line leading into the cockpit is under the roller, not coming out on top. Mine was like that for years after the dealer set it up until I noticed the info in the owners manual showing the correct way to run the line.

Catalina parts in FL now charges approx $45.00 for the vectran line to replace the wire on the center board.
