So a couple of weeks ago I lost the innards of one of my pelican hooks to Neptune's domain. Today I finally got down to Fisheries Supply to try to find a replacement. Nice guy at the counter helped me figure out which manufacturer made our pelican hooks (ABI), and found the right size for me. Total cost: $3.30.
BTW if you're looking for replacements for yours, it's ABI part number 182477. Not sure if they're common to all our boats, but for a '97 250, it should be the right part.
