Too cool, I wish there was one of these off of Alki Point. I use Sailflow as well as NOAA's predictions. There are also some interesting sailboard sites around that do a pretty good job of tracking winds.
I just look out of the window to get my weather! It's only about 10 miles from my office to the boat and about 3 miles to the bay so the wind is about the same at at my office as it is at the bay. The weather is usually about the same at my office as it is at the boat.
A friend of mine can look at doppler radar on his cell phone... and has a scheme to have it charged as normal minutes instead of data tran$$$fer... Very cool!

If I want to know what the weather is.... I look out the window. If I want to know what the weather is doing or what's it's progress, I log into my favorite web sites in USA and BC.
If I want to go sailing usually I just go, but it's always good and fun to check weather.
A good Thank You goes to the person or persons who took the time to post the site you showed us on the Internet. The best THANKS goes to the people who maintain the weather equipment and produce accurate reliable data coming from it, this is a never ending job.
Just like the people who make this site what it is......

Check out this site. It's not free but the $6.95 they charge you seems OK for what you get. They've got some great high resolution satellite pictures. I've had it for several years and really like it.

I forgot about my Garmin GPSMAP378 with XM Satellite Weather. Sure came in handy Saturday when we had some severe weather roll through the marina. I decided not to go out because of the radar image I was able to get while away from my computer. The sky looked fine until about 15 minutes before the weather hit!
I'll post some pictures I took when I get home tonight.

I'm not sure which country our weather forecasting comes from. I suspect, that like many other cheap, inaccurate, ineffective things that I wouled not trust my well-being to, ours is imported from China.
We are a few miles from the Eugene Airport so we use the Airport NOAA weather report. For some reason it is Eastern Time so you need to subtract three hours for local time. Wind is measured each hour.
