How about a little synthetic grease...like what is used on bicycle ball bearings. I must have about 4 tubes of the stuff on a shelf in the grage...maybe that would be another use for them.
I've use WD-40 and SailKote with good success. I spray it inside the cap (female part) making sure it gets on the ring that is inside the cap part. If the post part is corroded you might use a green scrouring pad on it to remove the crid.
I know this might sound wierd but sometimes I have luck with changing the order that I snap them in. I think it changes the tension or the direction of the tension just enough to make them snap a bit easier. I wonder if doing that would have an effect on taking them apart. Worth a shot.
