I previously posted problem. Engine would start but if you tried to move the control from the start position, it would die. At this point, plugs were wet.
Carb re-built, timing and compression checked, good spark, good gas, new fuel pump. SAME PROBLEM.
Cut to the chase. Took off head and found that the exhust ports (rectangular) were mostly clogged where they transition into a tube. Full of carbon. I was using good gas and good oil.
Soooooo. Not just fuel, air and spark. Add back-pressure.
