On Sunday I was returning to LA Harbor from the West End of Catalina, completing a four day cruise to Two Harbors, Little Harbor and Cat Harbor with my brother who flew down from Portland, and we crossed paths with Mr. Disney's boat and a few others just a couple hours into their race to Hawaii. We waved, they waved back...I was very careful to stay out of their wind.

Sorry...there are a lot of non-Transpac shots in there...but they are my brothers pics (race ones are near the end). I haven't been here in a while, but I thought some of you may enjoy this. I'm usually not a big fan of racing, but it was quite a thrill to be there on that day.

If only you were capable of stealing some of their wind!

A good friend is crewing in that race--he won the whole thing on his own boat last year--first overall! (Bill Hubbard on Lively Lady.)

Richard we left two harbors on Saturday morning at 07:00 headed for Marina Del Rey. We ended up motoring the whole way. How did you fare on Sunday? Looks pretty light for you too.
