Randy, I got all of my Kodiak and Dico parts today I noticed your calipers are mounted on the top. In the instructions that came with the brakes. Kodiak says to mount them facing to the aft end. They state it as mounting them at 9 O'clock and 3 O'clock. I was wondering if the stainless was different?
Stainless must be different. Also, here is some info from the installing disc brakes info on the champion site:
"The calipers on the 3500# axle are normally positioned nearly vertical at the 12:00 o'clock position, however they will work in any position. The vertical 12:00 o'clock position is best for brake bleeding, giving the best opportunity to totally purge all air from the system."
I'd advise following the directions that came with your brakes. Or, call Champion. They are very helpful. Ask for Shelley.
