Filled my LPG tank for the first time tonight. I install everything, turn the manual shut off valve and gas comes out of the tiny hole on the pressure regulator at great pressure and smell.
Too much pressure in the tank and the overage is flowing out? Will it just stabilize until the tank pressure is adequate? I don't know, but it doesn't feel right.
I have only 2 pages of the Owner's Manual for the LPG tank. Can't find any posts on this, nor did I find anything using Google. I'm tired of eating cold sandwiches, please help.

Steve if you don't get a response soon I'll take a look at my manual. Its on our boat, we're going down Saturday and back on Sunday. ...and hopefully my memory won't fail me.
It sounds like you ruptured a diaphragm. I really doubt there's too much pressure in the tank. You should be able to get a replacement regulator just about anywhere (Home Depot, Lowes). Look near the barbecue stuff. They aren't very expensive.
Well I had 2 problems. First was a brass elbow that was cracked. Second was the regulator and I agree that it looks like a ruptured diaphram. I bought a 2 stage regulator at some RV place, the guy told me that 1 stage regulator are illegal. Well suffice to say that the 2 stage regulator will not fit in the enclosure cover. I'm going to look for a 1 stage regulator at home depot maybe I'll have better luck.
Thanks guys, I appreciate the help.
