Hi folks,

Does anyone know when the next America's Cup is going to be? I thought I had heard a while back that it was going to be in Feb. 2007 and televised on OLN (Outdoor Life Network), but I've not seen anything yet.

Technically the America's Cup Racing doesn't start until June 23

Louis Vuitton Racing (13th and final act) resumes April 3 or 4

The Louis Vuitton Cup begins April 16th through June 12.

The Schedule is here: http://www.americascup.com/multimedia/images/img_traitees/2006/10/calendar-2007-media.gif

Thanks guys, I swear I had seen on TV previews for the America's Cup starting in Feb. 2007. I must have been delusional.

I believe Larry Ellison's boat, the only US entry, arrived a few days ago... At least this time we'll be able to watch the races at a reasonable time.

Although I'd rather stay up like back in 87 if the outcome were the same.

With a DVR, you can watch everything at a reasonable time and commercial free!

Nothing new... I still have some tapes of the incredible A/C at Freemantle when DC won the cup back in BIG air--sails blowing out everywhere. DC lost one on the final leg of the final race and still won. I taped it so I didn't have to stay up from 1-4 AM. (For you youngsters, that was using a VCR, which stands for Video Cassette Recorder, that used an arcane analog (squishy) format. I told the Smithsonian they'd have to wait a few more years to get mine. )
