I like the white color option with the Pettit Vivid brand. The company claims this paint can be burnished for racing but I wonder how it will compare to VC17.

Vc17 is a hard 2 part epoxy paint w/ copper, Its thin and fast. Vivid is an ablative paint, it a hard paint but it does come off from what i have read from SA. I would do the VC 17 do to the quality, repainting next spring is cleaning the hull and painting it again, and its soooo thin that you can see everything you will need to fair on the hull

I've no experience with the Vivid product, but I can tell you I am VERY pleased with my VC17 bottom.

I've got VC17m on now, been great. No experience with Vivid either tho...
Will be putting on VC Offshore most likely next season, depending on what I find the bottom doing in regards to growth this year.

I also used VC17 as it is very easy to use. It is nice and smooth to the touch once it is dry (although for safety reasons one should not be touching it, but hard to resist...)

I figured that "LIQUID ICE" has no bottom treatment, though the bottom is in nice shape I will have to remove the ablative antifouling it has. I am thinking of using Interprotect 2000. It requires 4-5 coats to build the epoxy to 0.12 mil. But once it is done I should be set for good. Plenty of work but I hated putting VC tar on my old boat.

Baltoplate made by interlux if you are really serious, but it takes a lot, and I mean a lot to maintain it year to year. If you're not in the water - nothing...hose it of before you put it on the trailer.

Although VC17 is classified as a hard paint, it is not a two-part epoxy paint.

I've had VC17 Offshore on the keel for the last 4 - 5 years without any problems (remember she is dry-sailed). The more I swim the keel to clean it, the harder and smoother the paint gets! And it is indubitably fast!
