The height makes the vberth unusable unless you remove the top of the head, which you can do with no ill effects.
The tank can still be removed for manual emptying if the need arises.
It holds about 9 days worth for one person.
The tank guage for the "effuent" doesn't do much until it's close to full and then it moves fast. The water tank holdsmuch less than the waste, so you will run out of "flush" before you fill the tank, I think this is agood design.
Pump out works well, odor, so far has been nil. I am using Thetford's stuff for the tank, seems to do the trick. ?Batteries seem to be going strong so far.
Oh, and it fairly comfortable, especially with the hatch open....
Total cost of project was about $250. I bought everything from Defender, they special ordered the unit for me. They are an awesome company to deal with as far as I am concerned.
This is my first experience with a "boat toilet", seems to be a reasonable approach for the space and use. I like it that there is no thru hull needed, but you could use one if inclined.
