I let my battery run down to the end (darnit), and then I plugged the boat into shore power. After a full weekend of being plugged in, it's clearly dead.
I thought with it being plugged in, it would go through the battery, and my cabin lights would come on. No go.
Is there a master switch somewhere? What can you suggest for figuring out this problem? This is just the next issue on a list of a few issues with the boat. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. I was plugged into 110v shore power. I have an extension cord plugged into a pigtail and that's plugged directly into my boat. I guess I probably need to verify that the power is on the dock too - I didn't get the chance to do that, but I didn't have anything to plug into it. When I bought the boat 2 months ago, the previous owner kept it charged by plugging it into shore power. Just seems odd that it would suddenly quit working like that, but then... it's a boat right...
Between the 110v shore power and the battery there has to be a charger somewhere! If the PO had one installed, it may have become disconnected, or failed.
