I have noticed that there is a 1" space between the liner and the hull of the boat. The port side windows leak water when it rains and this space gets water between it. Has anyone worked in this area before? I want to add an inspection port under the port a pottie in the fromt of the boat. This place seems like it has the most room to work in. I have also bought a knot/log meter and want to install the tranducer in this area. The space under the storage space for the cooler seem to be another good spot too. I have one on the starboard side of the boat in the large locker on the bulkhead wall, but you cant access the area here. If i add a polyurathane foam and fill this void, wont the foam soak up the water over time?

Chris,
If you mean between the floor of the cabin liner and the hull, yes, this is a good idea. (the ports, not the fill). Don't fill the bilge!! My Capri 30 has a port just forward of the mast, and way forward by the porta pottie. Also, there are 2" holes drilled in the dividers between each compartment under the floor. The ports and the other holes (and small ones between the compartments) make cleaning water out very easy. Most of the water flows back to the stairs. This is helped by what looks like a polyester pour that levels the bilge to keep all the water flowing back to the stairs. Not sure if this is a mod, or a factory thing. I've seen photos on the web of other Capri's with the 'pour'.
Transducers should go just forward of the keel if you can fit one there.
