Hi Capri 25ers, I bought my Capri 25 in September. Right now the boat is in my backyard. Every time I look at the thing there is something else to repair. You will be hearing from me about these projects over the next several months. The main question I have now is about the waterline on the Capri 25. I was looking at the photo of my boat that was posted in YachtWorld.com, and I noticed that the bottom paint covered the original waterline stripe. The previous over, for some reason, sanded off the bottom paint over the waterline stripe to its original height before I bought it. I also noticed that in photos of some Capri 25s that the bottom paint is painted over the waterline stripe. Is there a reason for this? Is the original location of the waterline too low? I was thinking of repainting the stripes (way down the list), and if I was going to raise the height of the bottom paint, I might as well paint a new waterline stripe. What do you think?
