I am a new owner of a 1995 water ballast 250. I'm getting back into sailing after an extended haitus (into power boats). I used to race a succession of sailboats years ago, and decided that it is a good sport to teach the grandkids. Nice forum here with losts of helpful hints!
Not a bad time to get back into the sport with the price of gas these days! ;-) You should be very happy with your C-250wb. I'm sure the grandkids will love it. I'm hoping to take my three year old on the Zoo Cruise this weekend. Welcome to the forum.
I'm in the Pacific Northwest, on the Columbia River in the Portland, Oregon area. I think there is an active group here, mainly of C25's. Hopefully I'll get to meet some of them.
No kidding about fuel costs, my last power boat burned 46 gal of deisel an hour at full throttle! I'm really liking the cost of wind power ;-)
