I have a 250 WK in Westport - TuLeTon. It is sail #408. I keep it at Captain's Cove in the winter and in Compo in the summer. There is another 250 in Compo called Lilly Pad or something like that. I haven't met the owner yet. I am an inactive member of LISCA.
Hey Steve,We saw a 250 going to cockenoe from compo one night,Have you ever sleeped over on your anchor ? I have a 14" hooker with 4' of chain .The manual says you need at least 6' of chain .we almost lost the anchor at shefield the rope was tangeled on a big rock ,I couldent free it I had to jump in, 11' down was pretty cold.Good thing it was 5:00 and still hot out. Then we were in the norwalk channel and the depth went to 4.5' then 3.5' and we were dead center of the chanel.Do you think it was a big fish or a malfunction? then it jumped to 22'. We still had a great day ,cant sweat the small stuff Were on a mooring in saugatuck. Whats LISCA stand for?We joined Minute Man Yacht club.we went to one dinner so far.
LISCA is the Long Island Sound Catalina Association. Check them ou at: http://www.saillisca.com/home.html. It is a good organization but we haven't had time to do much with it.
We have slept on our boat but not often. My wife likes daysailing but is not big on overnights.
Chain is like money. You can never have too much.
We too are members of Minuteman. Let me know your full name so we can look for you at the next function.
