My grandson was escaping older sisters birthday overnighter shabang and spent the night and as has become custom, we had to spend some time pirating on the boat setting next to the house.
While he pirated, I played with Ben's V peak shelf and discovered that the two little storage containers purchased the other day for possible under the table storage won't be lost. They will fit very well under Ben's shelf.
It should be an easy project with a shelf, a fiddle for its front to hold the magazines or books in place and three slides to accept the storage boxes...one double in the middle and singles on the sides.
Still leaves 5" to the cushions so that one can be set upon another for opening the hinged V berth hatch... looks like a plan to me.
Between other projects today, I knocked out the V peak shelf that Ben profiled a week or so ago. Thanks for a great idea Ben. I added hanger rails for the little storage bins found at Lowes last week.
The project did require four trips into the boat and cutting down between each trip so that the shelf went as far forward as possible before the storage bins got within a quarter inch of the liner.
Very nice Arlyn, I think I may try something like this on my Capri. There isn't as much room of course, but it is wasted space. Thanks for the picture and the idea.
