Surprisingly (for this group at least), nobody felt like answering my original post on this topic after a week. I guess I've annoyed everyone with too many questions or just sounded ignorant on the earlier posting about this topic.
If I've offended anyone it was not intentional, and offer an apology to anyone who was.
I am adding a gennaker to my inventory in the off season & could use a bit of advice regardng hardware selection and some technical points:
Tack Downhaul: Best way to lead line to cockpit from bow to cockpit (bullseye fairlead vs. over-top lead block)
Snap shackles on sheet & tack lines: good/bad, recommended model & size
Any other handy hints or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks
EDIT: name revised at suggestion of Buzz

I don't think anyone was offended. Myself I've been checking back regularly, to see the reply's. I'm flopping back and forth about adding a Gennaker or a 150% Genoa. Cruising Direct has good prices on both. if you go to the Nort Sails website they have a DVD for $5.00 S&H that shows how to hoist and douse their Gennaker.
I had looked at Cruising Direct and a couple of other lofts in my part of the world. I was also torn between the 150 & the gennaker. I decided the latter would be more useful for me. Besides, North was able to give me a 25% break on the sail + snuffer+"box turtle" bag at the Annapolis Boat Show. As for the CD, I had the sales rep send it along with the paperwork & fabric samples (no extra cost). The CD is good once you get past the rustling of the sailcloth in the person's microphone.
Hopefully some more experienced folks will have good info to share soon.
You might want to post this in the General Forum also, since many of the C25 owners don't read the C250 specific threads. Your questions are relevant to both boats, and a lot of the C25 owners will probably have helpful suggestions.
CD was much cheaper on this coast. I was thinking the 150 because I'm alone a good bit. My passenger is just that a passenger and from watching the CD the Gennaker seems like a real two person operation (which would get very little use if I'm alone).
Thanks for the link. Unfortunately Arlyn's photos don't really answer my particular questions.
Anyone else responding to this topic: Please go to the identical title in the general forum, and thanks in advance for your suggestions.
