Well if you live in the area and missed this weekend's St. John's River Tall Ships, you missed a marvelous time. The ships were amazing and now, I must admit, I think I am in love with a pirate!! It was a bloody good time. There were a few beautiful sailboats out on the water when I was there, but mostly small speed boats. If you went, please share your experience especially if you were watching from somewhere other than shore.
myself and Ben were rafted up against the landing on Fri night. We were on the Polish ship pretty late Fri night. It was fun but HOT . Sorry we missed you. I wanted to untie and head out to an anchorage but the crew found $2 pints at the alehouse . Glad to hear you had a good time. Ben should be posting pictures soon.
I wish I could make a niffty web page like Jim does, but right now I don't have the time to learn another new trick. So here is a link to the TALL SHIP pictures on my ftp space. It's already way past my bed time and work comes early tomorrow. I'll see if I can't do something better with the the images later, like labels. The files are all titled "tall". I don't want to upload them here because they would take so long to load.
Bloody great pictures. My mate Jules and I were out there Friday night for the fireworks - great fun - and Sunday for the pirate ship battle. And it was hot out there but it was a blast. We're sorry we missed you guys too. Looks like you all know how to have a good time.
