What a soap opera! A lot more information about her ex than about the boat!

I'm sure it'll generate a survey or two.

From the sounds of it..... You may get the girl and the boat. A woman that sells the boat to get back at someone is not my kind of girl!

Just so y'all know....This auction is complete BS. I won't display all of the gory details here, but I know both of these people personally. The 'ex' is not actually an ex AND he is both a lawyer and the 'yacht broker friend'. They're just trying to make a 'splash' on ebay with this immature stunt. They're playing on the compassion and support of the sailing community to try and make a few more bucks. If anyone falls for this story and offers her their sympathies, that would truly be a sad waste of good intention.

Too bad, I suppose one should never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

I guess I should retract my marriage proposal to sail off into the sunset on her boat. Too bad, as a plastic surgeon, I could have done wonders for her blank facial features.

Has anyone seen this on other forums? I haven't seen it yet on the few I follow.....though trying to set the record straight could just attract more attention.

BTW....the boyfriend has also used his ebay ID to place a shill/ ghost bid to jack up the price!

Hey Hydrophilicity,

Thanks for the info. It makes that sappyassed story on EBAY much more wonderfully pathetic.

BTW, Hydrowhatever... Who exactly are you? There's no bio info, no name, no nothing. Your story is plausible, but you're a little too anonymous to take seriously. I need to know before I ask her to marry me and my pristine C-25!

Fair enough! I would have liked to post with anonymity, but I guess that lends no credibility. I am a newbie sailor and I have no boat, thus I am not a regular on this forum - I lurk Lats&Atts and a few others sometimes. I crew at the Percy Priest Yacht Club (Nashville) whenever I get the chance

I am an avid diver and I have a profile on the scuba diving message boards I frequent under the same handle - You can look it up under member search at the top of the board http://dive.scubadiving.com/talk/list.php?f=1

I also have one on another diving site:

So, Jenny (?) ...from Nashville, what's your connection to a purported broken affair in Maryland? Are you part of the soap opera?

I do not want to be; thus, I will not say anything further in public. You've got mail.

<br />Hi Jenny,

I assume you've dealt with hydrophilicity? If so, in what applications?

No, this is not a test . . .
<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">

Not really. I am a scientist (bio-physicist) and I just liked the term. Thought it made a cool handle for scubadiving boards! I do magnetic measurement of cardiac tissue.

I'm out boat shopping for a few days, and the forum goes to hell...sounds like a first class galley full of flight attendants "mingling" with over-served first class passengers here...

Oscar... You don't know the half of it! Just don't recommend that C-27 listing to anyone except for a laugh... Nuff said.
