Need a little help from a trailer sailer that has their mast down. I was up the mast the other day an notice the spin halyard block was just put through a pin hole instead of hook to a masthead pin. What I need is to know the size (dia. and length) of the masthead forestay pin so I can get one and install the next time I am up top. Thanks in advance.

Thanks I saw that, but my WM doesn't carry them. As a matter of fact they don't carry a lot of sailing parts. I could special order it for an additional $5.00. So a $4.00 part would cost $9.00 plus tax. We have a couple of other stores other than WM so will try them first. Thanks again Keith.
I have the same problem with the WM by me. They say they are for powerboats not sail boats. When I special order something there is no extra charge and they usally have it in from their warehouse the next day, maybe two, I just stop by and pick it up at the store and then they don't charge you for shipping.

The West Marine in San Antonio can barely spell "sailboat." However, they've always tried to be helpful ... they don't charge extra for "special orders" ... in fact, they ship out-of-stock stuff directly to my house at no extra charge ... I like that
Maybe you can relate this to your stores and get them to match what other WM stores are doing ... it's worth a try.
