When I bought my C250WK there were not any baby stays on board. I have taken the mast down & up 1 time but I used a telephone pole Boom. I may need to use the mast raising system on the trailer this time. Could I just use a couple of "S" hooks inserted at the mast baby stay connection and tie the hooks off with 1/4" line to the loops on the mid Stanchions?? Or should I order some baby stays from Catalina??
Thanks
Steve

I’m guessing you could make your own. But if it were me I would order a set from Catalina. You and the new owner (when it sells) will be thankful.

I got a set from Catalina and they were only $59. You would have the right item, which holds the mast at the correct place.

thanks,
Steve

Interesting, I think that is what I asked for when I got them. I had a whole shopping list of little things for the boat and when I went down to Catalina they were all on the counter for me when I got there. The book does call them “raising stays” 6’ 10” and in another place they call them “mast raising short shrouds”. Maybe one of those terms will ring a bell with them. The people at the parts desk were very helpful and a couple of the parts that weren’t exactly what I needed they went right out and got the correct part for me. Also parts they didn’t carry like the screen for the bathroom window they gave me the manufactures name and model number of the window. They did have the entire window on the counter for me but all I needed was a new screen. Try them again, they really do try to help. I did get a new screen from the manufacture.

Keith,
I must have been talking to a new employee in Parts yesterday, (he did sound young on the phone). Today an experienced voice answered and he knew immediately, thanks for your help,
Steve
