I plan to trailer my boat soon. I have only loaded her once on a trailer I rented from another person. I then purchased the trailer from him later and when I took possession all of the pads had been lowered all the way down. I did not mark the post and I need some advice how high to set the aft, mid and forward pads. I have a Trail-Rite trailer. How high do I set each Pad for a Wing Keel from the top of the stationary supports to the top of the movable post? Please refer to the following pics. Thank you! Steve
Steve I just measured mine and they are: Bow 3-3/4" plus 25" for the tube for a total of 28-3/4" from the trailer. Mid pads 3-1/2" plus 25" for a total of 28-1/2". Stern pads 4-1/8" plus 32" for the tube for a total of 36-1/8". Trailer & boat are a 2001.
Jerry, I think your Trailer must be constructed much different from mine. The all the Tubes on mine are 30" long, and I did make a few markes when I used it the one and only time. I found a trailer that appears to be a 250WK trailer just like mine and here are the Measurements: Rear 8" from the top of the tube; Mid 5" from the top of the tube; and bow 11 inches from the top of the tube. Can anyone out there please confirm this. My trailer is a Trail-rite (pictured above) that came with my 1999 250WK...thanks! Steve
Steve, they may be a little bit different. Looking closely at yours & then mine, I noticed that on mine it looks as if the "wing" sits on the trailer a little bit lower to the ground. This may account for the height difference.
