I'm thinking of racing my boat in the spinnaker fleet next year. Any thoughts on where I should buy my spinnaker? How much should I expect to pay? Thanks.

You should expect to pay between 600 and 1200 dollars. It is going to depend on the cloth weight, style and the loft where you get it made. I would start with your local sailmaker, if you have one, and work from there. The links page on the website has many well known reputable companies to choose from. If you have never sewn your own sails before, I would stay away from the do it yourself companies such as Sailrite, especially if it is going to be a racing spinaker.
You might want to try buying a beat up used one at a loft one other thing I might recommend, is getting a beat up used spinaker to serve as a spare, as well as to serve as a practice sail. That way you have something that isn't as expense while you and your crew learn to douse, gybe, hoist and maneuver.
