Which production years did the Catalina 25 include all of the following three options??

1.pop-up cabin
2.tall rig
3.swing keel

Thanks a lot for anyone's help.

I'm looking for a Cat 25 with these features and knowing which years all these options were available will help my search!!

Something like 76-87. The odd man out is the tall rig, they should be pretty regional. If you are shopping light air country then tall rigs may turn out to be common. When you shop just remember the credo... A $10,000 boat costs $10,000. What may seem a bargain at a low sell price usually ends up ultimately costing the same as a higher priced boat already in good condition. Buy high, go sailing sooner.

Thread title asks about wing keel, post asks about swing. Swing keels are all over. Wing keels not so much. Wing keels were only available from 1987 to 1990. Which is about the same time frame swing keels ended.

You might find an earlier model swing keel boat that has been converted to a wing. A time consuming, expensive conversion.

Happy hunting.....

Believe pop-tops were an option for all production years - non pop-tops are the exception.

In addition to wings replacing swings, they went to a newer, dryer deck design in 1989.

Believe tall-rig option was available for all model years.

Yep, wings are few and far between - but worth the wait and travel to acquire . . .

Good luck!

There are several Catalina 25's here. With a tall rig I (5'-10") cannot stand up under the bimini and I have been hit by the boom on one.

Mpski:
Welcome to the Forum, you will find a lot of excellent information here. Try using the search feature, for 'Tall Rig', or 'Wing Keel' and you find good info, and informed opinions.
Go ahead and revise your profile info to include at least a first name. Is this your first or have you had a previous boat, and where are you planning to sail? Most folks here are friendly and very helpful, and they will be glad to help you in your search for the best C-25. If you are patient, you can find a good deal on A C-25, and in the meantime you can learn how to spot a great boat.

On a Tall Rig, Howard is right about being hit by the boom, however;
a. you don't have to worry about it if you are less than 5'10" tall, otherwise
b. if you do get hit hard by the boom, (like what happened to Howard)...it doesn't usually happen twice
c. Sorry, Howard I couldn't resist, it wasn't that funny at the time.
Doug
