The pin comes out of my finger thursday! I can finally get back to prepping the boat. I hate that I will miss 2 months this season. Always use a splitter or featherboard on your table saw. Push the wood all the way past the blade before stopping!

Great news about your finger, and thanks for the warning about featherboards and splitters. Now gonna Google featherboards and splitters. ;)

I've used BenchDog feather boards to great success. I have a pair of them as well as a couple of home made ones, and lots of push stick options.

I'm not a big fan of having the splitter attached, but I'm a bigger fan of having all my fingers attached, so I make myself keep it there (or use my bandsaw as much as possible, no kick back).

I keep seeing the Grippers in woodworking stores and I like the idea of magnetic attachments, but I've never wanted to cough up what they want for them. If I used my table saw constantly (almost never nowadays), I'd probably be more interested.
