The connection at my cabin roof for the mast has been damaged and I need to run new wires to the mast. How do I get to the wires that come out of the cabin and connect to the mast. Where can I find a drawing of the wire run from the control panel to the cabin roof. The connection on the cain roof is completely gone and there is nothing left of the wires comeing from the control panel.
The PO rewired my boat. The mast light wiring is hidden until it follows the bulkhead along the deck in the head to the mast post. Thankfully he did a neat job and it is not very noticeable until you look for it. You could make a channel out of teak or plastic to cover the wires.
Grommits through the wood bulkheads, and hang the wire with cable ties that have screw holders that hold the line up in the wood strip inside just inside where the deck and hull meet, a wood strip there on my boat.
This was my solution to the pin connector. The wires could be disconnected in the head by the mast post and were exposed until they went behind the liner. I used Ancor wire in a jacket, wire nuts were water tight.
