The continuing saga of the upgrade on our 1980 SK/SR. We installed a CDI FF 4 with ball bearing upgrade. While we were at it we replaced the forestay and all fittings and also swapped the old wire rope halyards with rope halyards and tuned the rig. The rig also has a new 135 sail as well. Pictures to follow.
The 9.9 Mariner had a bad habit of dying out (see a previous post on what could possibly go wrong) and was running hot. There was an air leak at the fuel hose to engine coupling, now air tight and a bad thermostat, replaced with new.
Sea trials this weekend!!!

Is the ball bearing upgrade to the FF4 available as a retrofit or does it have to be purchased new that way? We fly a 135 as well and I've never had much trouble rolling it up, but reducing friction is ALWAYS a good idea when possible.
