I am really looking forward to this event. This will be my first time there. http://sailhavasu.com/ Anyone else going? There are over 220 boats on their attendance list. 27 of them are Catalinas. 5 of them 250s. Looks like a blast.

Howdy,

We went last year with our 250 (the only one) and had a blast. A trip this year is probably not in the cards so it is good to know that some 250s will be on attendance.

I posted a of last year's trip on the board here somewhere which might have some use full info for you. Feel free to ask questions and I will do my best.

Regards.

Thanks csmcg, really looking forward to it. Trailering the boat there the day after New Years and put it in a slip for a few months. Want to spend a little time to get to know the area. It's about a four hour drive for me.

Charlie, yes... we're planning to go to Havasu 2013 as well, however, seeing that we can't pull two things at the same time the boat unfortunately and regretfully has lost out over our travel trailer.

It's has something to do with comfort, longer stay in Arizona and California, more conforming to opulent equipped land rigs rather than our slightly out-of-place looking but comfortable sailboat at RV sites, versus one week sailing out of several month on the dry.

Hard to argue but nevertheless we're going to really miss our beloved "Someday Lady", which has been a true and trusted companion while providing us with adequate comfort, on and out of the water, during our many cross continent wanderings of the last 9 years.

You're always welcome to crew on C Angel. Going to need some experienced race crew!

I'm also planning on attending HPCC from Phoenix. Not sure yet whether my boat will come with me.

Last year was my first HPCC. Had a good time and made a good sailing friend. One good friend is a great ROI for a week of having fun anyway...
