I'm looking for an asymmetric or cruising spinnaker for my C-25 to help downwind performance in light air. I'd also consider a drifter, but based on my research so far I think I want the asym.
I want to double check the dimensions that I should be looking for when talking to used sail lofts. My understanding is that I want a luff close to my I dimension (so around 31'). Can I go longer since the headstay is a bit longer than the luff (it is more like 32')? And the foot should be about 170-180% of J (so 18' to 19')?
If anyone has such a sail for sale I'm interested.

I found one sail that is about a foot short (29'8" luff) and a foot wide (just under 20').
I understand the downside of having a sail that is a little too short and think I could live with slightly reduced surface area. What is the downside of having an asymmetrical spinnaker that is a foot too wide? It'll be harder to get all of the fabric through the shrouds when tacking?
