There is a nice looking used genaker for sale in my neighborhood and I'm wondering about how it will fit my boat. I have a 250 tall rig, my head sail has a 30' luff, the luff on the gennaker for sale is 29'7" the foot is 18'7". It seems like a fit to me but I've not flown a gennaker and I would appreciate some advice. Could anyone explain to me the difference between a gennaker, chute, and asysmetrical spinaker. Are these just different names for the same thing or are there subtle differences. Also is it necessary to have winches on the comings to use the gennaker? Or is it possible or practical to install blocks on the rear cleats and run the sheets to the cabin top winches. Any thoughts would be most welcome. Thanks

Sorry I should have looked before I asked. I entered gennaker into the search function and found a lot of information about the different terms and sails. Thanks
