If anyone redoing a boat has a set of teh hinges that go on the door under the galley stove, I need a set. My crew last year fell and came down hard on that door in the open position, bending back the hinges.

I may be able to bend them straight again, but I would really prefer to just replace them.

CD has them for $21 plus shipping per set. I offer you $10 plus shipping.

I'd bet you can find them at your local hardware store.

Go to Home Depot and get standard 3/8 offset cabinet hinges. They're a perfect fit! That's what I did during my recent galley cabinet restore. I actually converted one drawer into a cubby, and installed tension hinges to keep the door shut.

Fortunately, Catalina used industry standard hinges. I paid $2 for each hinge at Home Depot.

Take your old hinges with you for reference if you like.

All of them I have seen are plated steel as opposed to SS ones catalina used. I am a little concerned with rust.

Rust is a concern....but for the money, if I see even a hint of corrosion, I'll buy another $2 set and screw them in. 5 minute job.

IF the big box stores don't have them, another source may be woodworking catalogs: Rockler
Or of course a marine chandlery.

A bit OT, but I would like to find a different cabinet door and drawer locking mechanism. I have seen a hole that you insert your finger, lift a latch on a valiant before. What other types. the ball and detent for the v-birth door in particular is very difficult to open. And the non-stock drawers have no means of retention in the galley.

I found some SS hinges at Grainger or Fastenal (can't remember which), so try them. I ended up going with nickel plated piano hinges for my recent project.

Thanks everyone I got exact matches at Fogh Marine for a little less than CD wanted, but without shipping fees. Same brand, same style, same everything - but they still took some massaging to get a good fit.

I guess that the dies changed somewhat over the past 30 years.
