John's been away from here for quite a while... She's <i>very</i> nicely equipped, and I'm guessing she's in great condition. Plus, she comes with a healthy manufacturer, a great third-party vendor, and this association!
I had a long day yesterday entailing four flights and a rental car trip through secnic central OH. All this lead to me putting a deposit down on John's boat. It will be another adventure getting her to Beaufort, SC in early June but my 9 and 5 year old boys are VERY excited about the new boat. Thanks for helping me find her.
Newest owner gets to buy everyone a drink... or go through the initiation hazing which I have been sworn to secrecy about, but involves a hefty woman named Holga, a vat of mushu chicken, and a cattle prod, among other things.

You need a large towel, <s>a change of clothes</s>, and some baby powder......

That sounds better than the dinner I usually get..... Not too sure about the cattle prod bit, but I'm sure that it's nothing that a box of strawberry flavored suppositories can't fix! (seedless of course) So much for my shy quiet profile on the forum..... (it also might be in order for me to scale down my first picture post a wee bit also)
Hey Steve, Congratulations on the new boat it looks like a good one. And welcome. I too call Beaufort SC home. My boat is a 250 moored near the city marina. A good friend Dave has recently acquired a 25 which he keeps at his dock out on ST Helena, Coffin Point. It looks like between the three of us we've got the county covered. I bought my boat September last year and my therapist tells me with hard work it's likely I'll fully recover from my initiation with the Catalina Community at some point in the future.
John and Steve - with our C25 on the Coosaw River at Lucy creek I'd say we do have the county covered, all 4 major rivers. John I'd like to see your 250 sometime. I've never seen one and wanted to compare cockpit space, etc. We have a Carolina Skiff we sometimes take downtown and the sand bar, maybe I can pop you a note this summer and take a quick look? Steve Merrick
Steve I would be very happy to show you my 250 whenever you like. It happens to be in your neighborhood (sort of) It's docked in Jenkins creek at a friends house right next to the Polawana community dock. That's right across the creek from the Dataw Island club house. I moved it around the other week when tropical storm Beryl blew through. I'm cleaning the bottom Friday and will probably move back downtown next week sometime. What side of the Coosaw bridge are you on? Do you sail in the Morgan river or the Coosaw. I've been sailing in the Morgan river lately from Lucy creek out to Pelican Bank and I love it. I may in fact linger in your neighborhood a few weeks longer. Give me a call 843 521 7171 or send me an email anityall@mac.com whenever you want to see the boat. We have a little fish camp all the way at the southern end of your creek where Lucy creek becomes the Warsaw flats, Cow Island is on the left side of the creek it has a very long dock and a sign with a silhouette of a cow on it. There is a old green 19' open sailboat (Flying Scott, my first love) cradled up on a floating dock. Stop by and have a beer if you see any boats at the dock.
