It pains me to realize that this journey has come to an end but life has taken a different turn and I must sell Bamboo. She has been a wonderful boat and I’ve created memories with her that I’ll never forget. As the title suggests she is a 1989 model, a wing keel, arguably the finest of the Catalina 25/250 series. Although the boat doesn't come with a trailer there are a host of things that make this a good buy for $10,000.00. You may email me at sailorevad at gmail dot com or call me at three eight six, eight five two, three one six six.
New rigging installed 2006. Bottom painted 4/10 so will need that soon. 45 watt solar panel with quality controller. Carry On 5000 air conditioner 2001 2 stroke Tohatsu 8 in good condition, runs perfect, no issues Quicksilver 8’ inflatable in good condition. 2006 2 ½ Suzuki 4 stroke in excellent condition The loose footed (with extra large roach) main is a year old and has been raised only 10 times or so. The working jib was bought in 2009 and is in perfect condition. The 150% Genoa was bought in late 2007, has only been raised 10 or so times. It’s a large sail and when single handling rather than deal with it I just used the standard jib. There is also a storm jib. Bought used but in very good condition. In 2009 I bought the TP22 auto tiller and installed everything but the wiring, so it’s never been used. Many folks just buy the TP10 and the 22 is a little overkill. In my mind that’s a very good thing. Humminbird 363 GPS-Fish finder Stationary Marine Radio/w mast top antenna STANDARD HORIZON HX280S Submersible Handheld VHF Radio Dual Marine Stereo, has weather radio, with 4 quality speakers, a wired remote and a plug in for your mp3 player. $450 when installed, GOOD sound. Wind catcher for the front hatch replacement ladder for the bent one that's in place various bumpers and dock lines shore power cords 2 inflatable life vests and 5 standard orange vests Bosun's chair Harness & Jack Line various pieces and parts Garmin GPS 76 And more stuff like a rope ladder, extra 2 ½ gal gas tank, to many things to remember!

Appreciated Tom! And thanks for the words folks. I'll bet although I'm taking a different turn for a while that I'll turn back on to this road a little later.

Thanks Peter, and be aware, I'll be living vicariously through your posts here and on facebook, you've got it going on there on Lake Ray Hubbard, maybe the best sailing venue of the bunch!
Joe, sorry, I missed the dink question. I use a bridle and tow it. It has a float to keep the lines from getting in to your propeller, and depending on where you tie it off you just adjust the distance between you and the dink until it trails nicely. I decided to not tie off clear to the starboard side (away from the outboard) But to the lower part of the pulpit 2/3 away, worked very well. I kept the outboard on the dink but wouldn't do it again, just much safer onboard.
Thanks Dave...don't see too many dinks with C25's....was curious. Although I think I remember Cate saying when she moves Mysterious she'll have a mooring ball now?
And everyone knows.....Eagle Mountain is where it's at around here.......
Bamboo has been sold. The very first looker bought her. I'd like to thank all the folks that have been of help to me for these 6 years that I've been a part of this great Association, your wisdom was and is greatly appreciated and has taught me a great deal about sailing. I've steered Jared here and I'm sure will introduce himself when the time is right. It looks like I'll sail Bamboo with him home 30 miles north on the 21st.
Clearly you didn't ask a high enough price! (kidding) CONGRATULATIONS on the sale! I hope you'll be sticking around to provide advice for all of us newbies!
Thanks Jim, Peter, Dave. And Peter, it's on my bucket list to make it to Ray Hubbard and go sailing (and rockin' out) with you! Until then I'll get my fix by going to Tom Curran's once a month to crew for him.
