Reminds me of 8th grade, Saturday night at a friend's house, taking a 16 oz. glass and mixing a little of everything in the parents' liquor cabinet to become a gray sauce, then one guy tries to drink the whole thing and (fortunately) hurls it into the sink... Scary.
It also reminds me of the big Sea Ray plowing down the sound, with its fancy wet-bar in the cockpit--not that's really scary!
Haven't drank for years (had to leave some for the next generation), but some of those are borderline classics. We called those mix everything and drink batches Hairy Buffalos.
Lots of those drinks sound good, but on my lake the lake patrol hands out DUIs, just like the highway patrol. We are securely tied to the dock when we break out the adult beverages.
I go for a simpler lifestyle on the water, beer, or wine in screw-top bottles. No mixed drinks unless it is something that can be mixed up at home like a punch and put into a jug. We too have water police who will issue BUI's, but it seems like they go after powerboaters 3x-4x more than sailboaters. Occasionally, they will get on a registration-checking spree, especially at regattas. I've gotten to where I try to limit myself to no more than 2 beers while sailing, and sometimes none until back at the dock. While racing, I prefer to sip water only - reduces the need to pee.
Great sounding stuff Tomas, while I'm a beer drinker my girlfriend will appreciate this!

No worries Dave, I'm taking up your slack!

I guess I understand, we've all seen the horrors of drunken boating but that just sucks. Not so bad here, the water police go for the power boats. I can be drinking a beer while waving as they pass and they never look twice.
