Back when fiberglass campers came out there was one that was a tent trailer with a hardshell. The top half came off and became a boat, unless you were staying put, in which case you could leave it on as a roof. Bottom half was, well, the bottom half of teh tent trailer. I forget what it was called, but I read some interesting articles about it. I don't think it was a sailboat though.
In any case a bunch of them were made, then themanufacturer went bankrupt and the molds were lost. Similar story to most FG stuff.
In any case, its shape when folded looked a lot like this boat/thing.
And to think that I was just thinking about putting windows on a U-Haul trailer and seeing if it would float. I wonder what would happen if the water wasn't as flat a glass?
It's no wonder that Deutcshland has the strongest economy in the world. They can get somebody to pay $24k for that.
