I even attempted a cable tie to hold it in place, but it would have just jumped off the connections.
I considered screwing it in place, but I did not have the proper screws, so I'm going another route right now. It is also difficult to secure the lower screw and have the wire run with enough clearance.

After hearing your story I may dip mine in resin and wipe off the leds..
Things we do to get a reliable light on top of a mast... I'm sure as soon as I get it up an osprey will land on it and clamp down..
They have a screw showing on the top so I may add a spike. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">
Don't count on my experience to be the be all and end all on these things - I tested it before the dunk and it worked great, but I had a helluva time wiring the sucker hanging off the back of the boat doing an impromptu repair in a slip on a busy though-fare. I don't know that the wires made good contact or that the polarity is right. PLEASE don't discount the product. I was just relating a funny-ish story.
The lights are sealed with resin. It should work. My photocell could be gummed up or my connections could be bad. I'll be taking the light apart this spring before launch and will have better input then.
And the folks at Bebi are fantastic to work with. Skip the distributor and go direct - which is what I did, with no trouble. If it warms up one of these weekends I may just wire in teh light to see how it performs through the winter.
Thank You Panhead. That was a link I've been looking for ... I'm going with the bebe right now for the masthead as it seems it will be easy to add a spike to the top to stop birds.
Soooo..... I ordered another Anchor Light Mast Mount Tube from catalina direct to get the bebe light connected to the tube. I'm an hour from my boat and I'd wanted to get the adaptation done ( or "fleshed Out" ) before dropping the mast. Havn't seen Leaky in a month...
