Has anyone attempted James' (Tiempo Dorado) resourceful method of installing pop top gas struts without having to unstep the mast as mentioned here last year? With the mast in place, he suggests using the main halyard to raise the hatch far enough to provide the extension needed to fully charge the pistons.We'd like to try it and can't think of why it wouldn't work. Thanks!
